Yesterday, the web was full of little items announcing that Miss Sixty, the popular Italian Contemporary Sportswear brand was in bankruptcy, insolvent, liquidating. These reports all referenced this article on the British newspaper The Guardian's website.
Well, don't camp out in front of a Miss Sixty boutique waiting for a store closing sale.
Miss Sixty is in administration...in the U.K.
Administration seems to be a British version of bankruptcy filing, and it is only Sixty UK, the brand's United Kingdom subsidiary that is ailing. The company as a whole, which also includes Energie, the men's counterpart label, is healthy, as far as we know.
So there should be plenty more extravagant Miss Sixty shows at Bryant park in the future.
Let's hope we don't get stuck waiting outside again next season.
