Elton's Closet: Superstar Tag Sale

Sir Elton John and partner David Furnish have cleaned out their closets and are having a sale of 10,000 pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories to benefit The Elton John Aids Foundation. They have done this before, but never in New York City. Ordinarily, The Shophound would avoid any event attracting hordes of Elton John freaks and throngs of Slack-Jawed Tourists but he couldn't resist a morbid fascination with just what one of the great consumers of our era would be getting rid of.
