Bleecker Street News: New Marc Jacobs Specials
January 9, 2007
The balmy weather last weekend left an extra long line in front of the Magnolia Bakery, now under new ownership promising not to change a thing (as if the dingy self serve shop was somehow above any improvement). It was one of the rare occasions when the newly delivered resort collections could be seen as "wear-now" purchases.
Marc Jacobs has unveiled the latest in his series of charity t-shirts. This time there are two clever designs benefiting The Provincetown Art Association and Museum. As usual, they are only available at Marc Jacobs stores, and they're still only $20, still Bleecker's best bargain. Don't miss the clever recreation of the "hand" design in Marc's window.
Those aren't the only new well priced items in his stores. There's a whole new supply of resin jewelry like the bangle on the left for $12 (not for amateurs as they veer very close to Mrs. Roper territory), and a kitschy dice ring at right for, oh, well that one is $1,400, but at least you won't see it coming and going.
