To spur crowds at their grand opening next Friday, MUJI will be handing out its popular chronotebook schedule book to the first 500 visitors to its Times Square flagship. We do love us some swag, and we're happy to pass along the tip. The store opens at Noon. Line up early.

New York, New York-May 23, 2008, MUJI U.S.A. LIMITED announces the sales of Chronotebook ($4.95 each) at MUJI Times Square which will open on May 30, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. noon. Most standard schedule notebooks are arranged with lines and grids which have limited flexibility but Chronotebook makes it clear, easy to plan and see your daily schedules. Chronotebook will be given away for the first 500 people that come to the store opening at MUJI Times Square located on the first floor in the New York Times Building at 620 Eighth Avenue.
Inside the 5 ¾”H x 4”W pocket size notebook, the pages are divided by AM and PM. The left hand side of an open page has a graphic of a white clock which represents AM and on the right hand side has a dark clock which represents PM. Simple but functional, new way to plan your day out.
Chronotebook has won the Judges’ Prize for the MUJI Award 02: International Design Competition which was held last year and was materialized as one of MUJI’s products. The last year’s MUJI Award was designed to challenge anyone across the world to focus on creating the new vision of living. Re-think, Re-design, Re-use, Re-fuse ... Discover and conceptualize RE in a familiar, everyday thing.
The quantity for the Chronotebook is limited however; the notebook will be sold at MUJI Times Square for $4.95 each starting May 30th, 2008. Phone orders and delivery services are not available at this time.
