Today In Relocations:SoHo's Sean Moves With A Big Sale
August 6, 2008
Sean, the men's store with branches in SoHo and on Columbus Avenue, has always been something of a sleeper, quietly selling its modern classic wares to a loyal following without excessive fanfare, so when we discovered it would be vacating its longtime home on Thompson Street, we naturally thought the worst. After all, rent pressures have been forcing stores into playing musical locations or simply throwing up their hands in defeat for a while now, and why else would anyone leave such an agreeable location in the heart of SoHo?
For a better one, of course.
As it turns out, Sean has simply moved a few blocks away, to an even more appealing (and easier to find) spot on Prince Street, and to celebrate, we found them having a big old sale to get rid of old goods.
Presumably, the new digs will be replenished with fresh, Fall goods any day now, but in the mean time there are deep discounts to be had on the the house label, French menswear designer Emile Lafaurie, complete with the distinctive aroma of fresh paint...if that's your thing.
