Target Pop-Up Preview:Bullseye Bodegas Ready
For Launch This Friday
For Launch This Friday
September 9, 2008
We have taken a break in our grueling fashion show schedule for a preview of Target's Bullseye Bodega pop-up stores opening in a Manhattan neighborhood near you this Friday for four days only.
Target tells us that they currently have more exclusive designer collections than they have ever before, 22 in fact, all of which will be featured for us Manhattanites who are weary of traveling to the outer boroughs for them. Included will be Target' s ongoing brands from Michael Graves, Mossimo, Sonia Kashuk and Thomas O'Brien among others, as well as limited fashion collaborations from Anya Hindmarch, Sigerson Morrison and Jonathan Saunders which will be available only in the Bodegas a full month before they hit regular Target stores.
Fittingly, The stores are designed to look like...bodegas, but not your typical neighborhood corner shop. These are bright and shiny, awash in primary colors like you have just stepped into a Target commercial, so merchandise is stacked in faux freezer bins and refrigerator cabinets.
We fully expect them to be mobbed for four days solid, so get there early on Friday morning. The Saunders line looked particularly good with lots of printed cotton jerseys in his signature geometric patterns and good looking knits.
We visited the one at 57th and Sixth, and others will be located in SoHo, The East Village and Union Square, so brace yourselves for aggressive shopping this weekend.
