TRANSFORMATIONS: Lacoste Goes L!VE In SoHo
September 14, 2010
Between Fashion Week and Fashion's Night Out which was dropped in the middle of it, we are playing a little bit of catch-up ball. Last week, Lacoste transformed its Prince Street store into a new Lacoste L!VE concept, geared toward a contemporary customer. The boilerplate Lacoste store that lived there before has been reconfigured with a bold black and white wall of light and logo as well as sleek hanging racks. What's the difference between L!VE and regular Lacoste? Your age and size, mostly. The new collection is a trimmer, with every aspect of the classic piqué polo shirt trimmed down to a slender, tight shouldered hipster T. That means that you are either thrilled that there are finally Lacoste shirts cut to look right with your skinny jeans, or you can console yourself that there will always be the classic L.12.12 polo shirt in a size for almost anyone of any shape.
