Only a few years ago there was no end to the free snacks that would get handed out regularly at the Fashion Week tents, but lately we have had to make do with water, diet soda and as many FiberOne bars as we can cram into our bag. It's a sad state of affairs, for sure, but relief can come from an unlikely source. The Shophound has never been in love with Milk Studios as an alternative to the big tent complex for any number of reasons, but this season they have gotten Walgreen's to enter the picture to make up for some of the inconvenience. Above, see the Walgreen's Cafe on 15th Street in front of the Milk Studios building. It has been set up to offer an array of publications as well as an assortment of snacks, some healthier than others. That's not all, though. This being Walgreen's there are also adhesive bandages and little tissue packages and all sorts of other sundries that you are going to need at one point or another. Best of all, it's all free for the taking, so help yourself. No, wait, here's what's the best thing: It's on the sidewalk. You don't even have to be going to a fashion show to stop by and grab a little package of yogurt covered pretzels or perhaps some almonds.
Of course, it won't be there forever, and show some restraint, people. If you are too greedy, then it might not come back next season.
