SOHO SHUFFLE: Rebecca Minkoff To Take Kirna Zabête's Space Next Year

A much-loved SoHo boutique is on the move, and America's most ambitious designer is right on its heels. Beth Buccini, co-owner of the widely admired Greene Street emporium Kirna Zabête confirmed to WWD last week that the store will be looking for a new home after opting not to renew its lease when it expires next April. The store has finally outgrown its space, and will move next year to a "significantly bigger" location in SoHo whose exact location has yet to be announced.
Hot on its heels is popular accessory designer Rebecca Minkoff As for Minkoff, who will open a store there in late summer or early fall of 2013 It will be her first flagship store in the U.S. Get ready to see a lot more her name after it bows, as Minkoff tells WWD that it "will serve as an example for a parade of stores that we will open in the U.S. and abroad across 2014 and 2015", as well as provide a template for smaller concept shops within department sores.
Minkoff's brand has been expanding steadily in the fast few years as she has swiftly introduced apparel and men's accessory lines in recent seasons, so get ready for the big Rebecca Minkoff parade. It's comin'
