SAMPLE CIRCUIT: Things Are About To Get Crazy With Rebecca Minkoff, Thakoon, Dsquared2, Martin Margiela & More

This week's Sample Sale schedule is still reasonably manageable, so you still have some time to pore over the red carpet looks from last night's Met Ball, as you should, but then you should get moving because the bargain season really starts heating up by the end of this week.

If you are on top of things, then you already hit the NANCY GONZALEZ sale at the Lighthouse International which started yesterday. You still have a few hours today to shop, and an opportunity to save on her colorful crocodile bags is not to be missed.

REBECCA MINKOFF's sale also started yesterday at 260 Fifth Avenue, and will run through Saturday the 10th. This contemporary designer always draws a crowd, but also manages to offer an abundance of handbags and sportswear.

Today's big event is THAKOON's sale in the West Village. It will include both the main collection and his more affordable Addition line from past seasons at up to 80% off the original prices. it only runs through Wednesday the 7th, so plan for a line.

You'll find more stylish dresses and sportswear from RAOUL also today the 6th at 225 Fifth Avenue. We don't know if the sale includes the men's line or not, but it runs through Friday the 9th, so you have some time to find out.

The Japanese (but French-inspired) sportswear line PAS de CALAIS will have samples and stock on sale for up to 70% off in the basement of its SoHo boutique starting on Wednesday the 7th. The men's collection, SAGE de CRÊT will also be included. Runs through Friday.

The centerpiece of the week is the seasonal STAFF USA sale in Chelsea which begins on Thursday the 8th. This one is a longtime sample sale favorite, even as the designers included have shifted over the years. The main draws here are DSQUARED², MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA including the MM➅ line, and VIKTOR & ROLF. Again, get up early for the best picks, and prepare yourself for a line. Runs through Saturday.

Since you are already downtown, you should make PERSONNEL of NEW YORK's first basement sale on Greenwich Avenue your next stop. The popular new store's clearance of current and past season goods for men and women at up to 80% off will run through the weekend, but it is a small store, and the best pieces are likely to be in short supply.
