CHELSEA SURPRISE:

Could Barneys Re-Take Its Entire Original Chelsea Store?

SAMPLE CIRCUIT:

Late Summer Sale Action With David Yurman, Nanette Lepore, Issey Miyake & Theory. Again.

So it's been pretty quiet on the sale front lately. Saks has reportedly discontinued its big blowout consolidation sales, and the rest of the department stores are picked pretty clean, but the last few weeks before Labor Day often bring some last minute sales that are worth catching. If that money is just burning a hole in your pocket, then here are a few shopping opportunities to keep you busy for the next couple of weeks:

NANETTE LEPORE is holding another sale (her second this season? third?) in the Garment District starting today the 12th through Thursday featuring her most recent collections. Her sales have been known to include serious bargains, so Lepore fans should take note.

Wednesday the 13th, will actually be a pretty busy day for bargain hunters, ISSEY MIYAKE is holding a rare one-day sale featuring merchandise from all of his collections in Chelsea at the Metropolitan Pavilion. The last time this revered Japanese designer held such an event was four years ago, so it definitely doesn't come around every season. Get there early.

Another surprise sale on Wednesday comes from DAVID YURMAN who can be relied upon for twice-yearly sales in the Spring and Fall. This one is an extra opportunity at Chelsea Market for three days that will include all of his collections including watches and eyewear. Samples and stock will also be available.

Finally, on Wednesday, SCOOP NYC will start its seasonal Closet Clean-Up Sale. This one features final reductions on Spring 2014 merchandise meaning an extra 40% off the final ticket price. This push total discounts up to 80% off. You will want to be early, but you will have to choose between the Meatpacking District and SoHo store locations. it won't be too hard to hit both, but which one to visit first is the question?

If you can hold out until next Monday, then you will have the opportunity to shop yet another THEORY Sample Sale at Clothingline. Between this label and its sibling Helmut Lang, it seems like there is a sale every other week. It is dizzying to keep track, but his one will feature the main Theory Label for Women as well as the more fashion forward THEYSKENS THEORY collection which is in its final seasons. Spring, Summer and Pre-Fall are promised at 70% off.

That's not all. Next week promises Accessories form LAUREN MERKIN and DEUX LUX, fashion jewelry form veteran brand BEN AMUN, and, most importantly, the ABC CARPET & HOME BRONX WAREHOUSE SALE, a must for anybody in need of furniture or rugs —which will be sold this season, by size only starting at $225.

Details for all of these sales will be found on our SALE ROLL at left. Keep an eye on it for breaking sale information.
