SAMPLE CIRCUIT: More Menswear Sales From Zegna & Isaia + Helmut Lang, Nanette Lepore, Alexis Bittar & More
June 16, 2015
Last week's cavalcade of menswear sample sales is not quite over, so if shoppers didn't get a chance to take advantage last week, they still have a few shots left. Today brings the seasonal ISAIA sale which is taking over 260 Sample Sale's newest satellite location on Prince Street in SoHo through Friday. Isaiah fans can reliably expect the usual offerings of immaculately hand tailored Neapolitan suits and sport coats as well as the complete offering of shirts, sweaters, shoes and accessories. This location even has an extra added bonus: real fitting rooms, so there's no crouching behind a rack to try on trousers.
A little further downtown, C21-Edition is very much in the game again with a rare ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA sample sale staring this morning also featuring its sister label AGNONA —both now designed by former YSL maestro Stefan Pilati. As usual with their events, an RSVP is requested, though, honestly, we have no idea what the level of enforcement will be. The sale runs through Friday, and as is also typical of the venue, features an early 8 AM opening for pre-work shopping.
That's not all that kicks off today by a long shot. NANETTE LEPORE fans will be lining up once again for another of her blowout sales featuring samples and stock from recent seasons as well as archival stock and one-off samples. It runs through Thursday the 18th in the Garment District, not too far from Clothingline, where THEORY will be starting another in its usual series of sales —this time promising both men's and women's goods in all sizes at below wholesale prices.
Jewelry shoppers will also be busy today as ALEXIS BITTAR's sale opens at 260 Sample Sale on Wooster Street through Saturday in time to pick up some summer baubles, and up in NoMad, LULU FROST kicks off a three day sale that will include pieces from past collections and one-of-a kind samples.
—And that's just what opens today.
Wednesday brings a big HELMUT LANG sale at the Chelsea Market through the weekend that promises 60% off retail prices for both men's and women's collections. This label has been known to hold multiple sample sales, but one never exactly knows what will be included at each one. This one is the first for the season, however, so selections should be good.
Mistress of Mod, LISA PERRY will be opening her Madison Avenue boutique for a blowout sale from Wednesday through the weekend that is promising a whopping 80% off samples and inventory form previous seasons. Fans of her bold, graphic collections should be out in force.
Also on Wednesday, New York downtown favorite NICHOLAS K will be settling in on Grand Street in SoHo for a whopping two-week long sale that features both his men's and women's collections.
And there's plenty more including JONATHAN SIMKHAI's one-day-only sale on Thursday, GARY GRAHAM's three-day TriBeca sale promising savings from 50% to 90% off of previous season's collection and IPPOLITA's six-day stint at Soiffer Haskin staring on Saturday.
As always, keep an eye on our SALE ROLL at left for all details as well as late-breaking sales and updates.
Next week should be no less busy featuring J.CREW's bi-annual sample sale, this time taking over all three 260 Sample Sale venues stretching from NoMad to SoHo, so stay tuned.
