SAMPLE CIRCUIT: Sweltering & Samples With Badgley Mischka, Bespoken + Leftovers
August 4, 2015
At this point in the summer, we should all be thinking of nothing but air conditioning and the beach, but the hopelessly compulsive sale shoppers amongst us will be lining up this morning at 260SampleSale's Wooster Street location to get a deal on something sparkly to wear to a party from dress masters BADGLEY MISCHKA. The sale promises to include all of their collections from couture to sportswear, starting today through the weekend.
In case you were wondering where all the leftover stuff goes after the end of a sample sale, you will find a lot of it at 260 Fifth Avenue where it has been gathered up and put on sale for a pittance. If you have money burning a hole in your pocket, we expect that it will be there for most of the month, or at least until 260SampleSale needs the space for something else.
Guys looking for updated versions of classic British tailoring will be headed uptown tomorrow for the annual BESPOKEN sale. They will find it on the sixth floor of the East 57th Street building that houses Turnbull & Asser, the label's grandfather of sorts. Savings of up to 75% off are promised through Friday.
In a good week for elegant menswear, downtown custom tailor SEIZE sur VINGT will start its sale on Thursday in its SoHo flagship featuring 60% to 80% off everything from casual shirtings to tailored suits and furnishings. Look for bargain priced archive pieces and samples as well as regular stock.
Finally, on Sunday, ladies looking to stock up on intimate apparel and other dainty items will be flocking to COSABELLA in SoHo for inner wear buys of all sorts starting at $5.
That's all for this week, which is kind of a lot for August in any case. See our SALE ROLL sidebar at left for all details as well as the inevitable late breaking last minute additions. Next week, ERNEST ALEXANDER and ISSEY MIYAKE will offer up their sales, so tay tuned.
