After seasons of off-site operations like a lengthy stint with 260SampleSales and a few runs at Industry City in Sunset Park, the Steven Alan Sample Sale will be returning to its original location at the brand's showroom on Franklin Street in Tribeca. Yes, remember that cramped, uncomfortable space with the long, around-the-block lines? Fans of those reverse seam shirts in their myriad striped and checked incarnations sure will, and they were probably relieved when the company finally ditched it for more efficient lodgings. Since then, however, the retailer has downsized from a sprawling network of boutiques in New York and other cities to just the one original location downtown. A roster of alternative casual sportswear labels is still promised for the 4-day sale. We shall see if the epic lines of years past will re-materialize starting this Thursday August 15th.
